I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of Curtis (Doc). He was a wonderful man. He was a great teacher when I attended Blue Springs High School. My thoughts and prayers are going out to Ms Peggy, Carlos, Amoret, Stuart and their spouses and to the grandkids. My prayers go out especially to Carlos as we were classmates at Blue Springs High School. It will be hard letting go but you have the Lord up above to provide you with comfort. Just rely on him and he will get you through this.

Enjoyed having the privilege of knowing and working with Curtis as a fellow Ag teacher and FFA advisor. Thinking of his family and friends during this time of grief.

Mr Eiland was my Ag/FFA teacher '57-60, Many trip to Cols, Ga Livestock judging in his 54 Chevy, We basically won them all. then 59-60, he decided I was worthy of FFA potentials. Took me thru all public speaking, wound up 2nd in region. Then he wanted me for state FFA office, lost out as #2 for president in 59. He was a great teacher, and gave me one my best recommendations when I applied Vet School. He pushed me from his view point and I always respected his input. This world lost a good man.

Words cannot express the magnitude of the influence Mr. Eiland had on our community and the people within it. He touched innumerable lives within his capacity as a teacher as well as outside of that capacity. He seemed to seek out opportunities to serve and he always did it masterfully as well as tirelessly. He was truly a servant in every sense of the word.

We owe much gratitude and appreciation to his family for the sacrifice they willingly made in sharing him with us all these years. His jovial spirit will certainly be missed here and in heaven I feel sure he has already received his “job well done good and faithful servant” and everybody there now understands the meaning of War Eagle. We know the bible tells us that no man is good but he was as good as it gets by earthly standards.

To Mrs. Peggy, Carlos, Amoret, Stuart and spouses as well as all of his beautiful grandchildren and extended family, may the God of Heaven comfort you in this time of your loss. May all of us who loved him join together to celebrate his life here on this earth as it was exemplary of a person who truly was intent on making a difference on this earth, making it a better place as he set an example most of us will never again witness in our lifetimes. You will be missed my brother in Christ!!!!
