Wyatt T. Myers of Red Level passed away Monday, June 22, 2020, at the Andalusia Manor. He was 24.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 25, 2020, at Keahey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Keahey Chapel one hour prior to services. Rev. Eartis Lee will officiate and special music will be by Ron Taylor. Interment will follow in the Fairmount Baptist Church cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing. The service will be live-streamed on the Keahey Funeral Home of Andalusia Facebook page.
Left to cherish his memory, father, William Russell Myers (stepmother, Adele) of Red Level; brother, Dalton Myers of Red Level; sister, Marie Price of Andalusia; paternal grandmother, Ellen Johnson (Byron) of Chancellor, AL; maternal grandfather, Larry Bennett of Loango; many aunts and uncles. Flowers will be accepted. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sonya Bennett who succumbed to the Huntington Disease at age 36; maternal grandmother, Nan Bennett, and paternal grandfather, Lester Myers.
Wyatt was a 2014 graduate of Red Level High School, being born with Juvenile Huntington’s Disease, Wyatt did enjoy a close to normal lifestyle until about 4 years ago when his health declined quickly. As a teenager, he accepted Christ as his Savior and was baptized at Pleasant Grove Church in Loango. Prior to the onset of the disease, he loved hunting and was skilled in archery; he also loved anything to do with Alabama football! He will be greatly missed.
