William Eugene Schertler

William Eugene Schertler, age 92 of Red Level passed away December 29, 2023 in Crestview, Florida hospital. 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at Keahey Chapel one hour prior to the services. Rev. Jerry Varner will officiate. 

Left to cherish his memory, daughters, Bonnie June Schertler of Red Level, Al; Terri Elaine Viator of Louisiana; April Joy Good (Lee Jay) of Red Level, Al; Sherry Schertler Lester (Marc) of Red Level, Al and Picayune, Mississippi; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Alice Schertler, his father Edward Sission Schertler, a daughter Linda Mae Schertler Webb, and a grandson, Dylan Kent Viator.

He served in the Army and the Air Force; during his working years, he was a farmer, worked in the oil field industry and building construction.
