Obituary
Mr. William Roger Simmons age, 76 of Blue Springs, Alabama (Clio) passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at his residence. He was surrounded by his family. Graveside services will be held at 1pm., Friday, January 20, 2023 at Sykes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home of Clio directing. Mr. Simmons’ niece, Deliah Baker will deliver the eulogy. Pallbearers will be Joery Scott, Joseph Danzey, Nicholas Bush, Trey Scott, Brandon Senn and Justin Senn. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to “Help Lottie Walker Fight Neuroblastoma” @gofund.me/52606b1. Left to cherish his memory, loving wife, Alice Brown Simmons; daughter, Susie Danzey, (Joseph) of Ozark; Tavia Scott (Joery),of Blue Springs; sister, Patricia Bohannon of Dothan; grandchildren, Alli Payne (Stetson), Nicholas Bush, Sarabeth Scott, Trey Scott and River Scott; one great granddaughter, Collins Payne; son-in-law, Steven Bush of Blue Springs; nephew, Kevin Baxter (Allison) of Enterprise. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wade and Sara Simmons; sister, Saraline Hines. He was a 1969 graduate of Ariton High School and retired after 40 years with F & W Construction.
