Wayne Ryals

Mr. Wayne Ryals of Clio passed away December 5, 2022, at his residence. He was 88.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel in Clio. Rev. Robbie Daniels will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at Keahey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Bethel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Cemetery, Anderson Church or Corinth Church. Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Ryals, Tyler Ryals, Dennis Ryals, Michael Parr, Gavin Parr and Graham Parr.

Left to cherish his memory, son, Larry Wayne Ryals; sisters, Cathryn Wise (Edward Lanier) of Clayton and Sarah Frey of Columbus, Ohio. In 2019, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, Jacqueline Olivia Parr Ryals who he was married to for 65 years. 

Wayne Ryals was born March 3, 1934; he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and graduated from Troy University. He taught mathematics at Carroll High School in Ozark. He authored several of the first laser guided lock-on system programs that was used by the United States military, many of the programs are still currently being used. He also designed and built an oscilloscope which was utilized by the United States military. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Kimberly Wynn, Betty Sue Wilkinson, Amber Hagler, Kenny Williams and Covenant Care Hospice for their excellent service in helping make his final days comfortable and peaceful. May Wayne Ryals rest in peace with his beloved wife and the Lord.
