Mr. Warren Ora White, a resident of Andalusia, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020, at Southeast Health. He was 74. A private family graveside service celebrating his life will be held at 10 A.M. Thursday, August 20, 2020, at Oakey Ridge Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Donaldson officiating.
Warren was born on December 29, 1945, in Brewton, AL. He was a 1964 graduate of Straughn High School and was employed by the Department of Army (Civil Service) from 1968 until his retirement in 2004. He was also an active member of the National Guard for many years. His proudest achievement, however, was the raising of his three children. Warren was known for his love of the outdoors, animals, and Crimson Tide football. But above all, he was known for his love of all things family. He was a devoted son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He was an active member of Oakey Ridge Baptist Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two sons, Rob (Tonya) White, and Lance (Lori) White; one daughter, Penelope (Brian) Jones; one granddaughter, Hailey White; a very special friend, Janice Suggs; one sister, Annette (Gene) Scheidemantle; one brother Gary White; one nephew, Tim (Carla) Scheidemantle; two nieces, Tami (Jeff) Bitzer, and Heidi Hannah; along with many great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, JD and Louise White, and a nephew, Curtis White.
He will be sorely missed.
