Honorary pallbearers will be her devoted co-workers from David’s Catfish House, where Tammy faithfully served for many years.

Tammy is survived by her loving husband, Jeremy Sasser; her sons, Scotty Lindsey (Griffith DeMay) and Joshua Lindsey (Melanie Lindsey); her daughter, Gabriella Jolene Durham (Colin Chestnut); her cherished grandchildren, Oliver Lindsey, Amelia Lindsey, Reece Lindsey, and Harmony Atlas Matthews Chestnut; her parents, Ronald and Barbara Brooks of Opp; and her brother, Donnie Brooks; Aunts and Uncles, Danny (Marlynn) West, Howard (Dorothy) West, Sharon Curry, Debbie Martin, Sherry and Gary Worley, Janice Sasser, Sandy and Tim Norris, Kim Sasser, Heath Harper, Janet and Arthur Ballard.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Tommy Brooks and Ronnie Brooks II and mother-in-law, Alesha Sasser.

Tammy will be remembered for her warm smile, encouraging words, and unwavering faith in God. For the past ten years, she and Jeremy were faithful members of Red Level Assembly of God, where Tammy served as the church pianist and enjoyed singing. She found great joy in worshiping at home as well, often playing her piano and singing praises.

Tammy worked side by side with her mother at David’s Catfish, where she became a favorite among customers for her kindness and dedication. In 2007, Tammy started with David's Catfish when they opened, being one of the first waitresses hired. Despite multiple foot surgeries, she returned to work as quickly as possible, showing her strong work ethic, commitment and love for her customers. Known for her signature blinged-out ball caps decorated with Bible verses, Tammy carried her faith everywhere she went.

She loved animals dearly, caring for her little dog, Angel, as if she were her child, and feeding countless stray cats in her neighborhood and even bottle-feeding orphaned kittens. More than anything, Tammy treasured being a Nana—her greatest joy was the time she spent with her grandchildren, who brought light and love to her life.

A GoFundMe has been established by Keahey Funeral Home on the family’s behalf to assist with final expenses.

Tammy’s life was a reflection of love, faith, and service. Her legacy will live on through her family, her music, and the countless lives she touched.
