Mrs. Sylvia L. Lankford of Andalusia passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021, at her residence. She was 76.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the cemetery. Reverend Larry Stewart and Reverend Ed Ganus will officiate. Special music will be provided by Sylvia’s granddaughter Beth Jackson.

Left to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 43 years, Fred Lankford; one son, Jimmy Keith Edison (Cathy) of Geneva County; one brother, Billy Lucas (Margaret) of Dothan; sisters, Barbara McClain (Bill) of Andalusia; and Sharon Owens (Don) of Evergreen; grandchildren, Beth Jackson (Chad), Lucas Edison (Nikki), Samuel Edison (Amber), and DeAnna Coker (Clay); great-grandchildren, Lincoln Coker, Stella Coker, Tinsley Edison, Carley Edison, John Luke Edison, Grant Edison, Willow Edison, Gracie Jackson, and Liz Ann Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Gertrude Strickland Lucas; son, Steve Edison; and sister, Jane Lucas.

Sylvia loved spending time with her family and playing word search games. She will be missed.
