Somer Raquel (Moore) McVay

Mrs. Somer Racquel McVay of Dozier passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 10, 2021, in a Dothan hospital. She was 29.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Keahey Chapel. The family will receive friends at Keahey Funeral Home one hour prior to services. Rev. Elbert Smith will officiate; a eulogy will be given by Kymberly Keahey.  Interment will follow in the Stone Lake Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Stacey Evens McVay, II of Dozier; Heath Calhoun, Dusty Piper, and Brandon Patterson.
Left to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Stacey Evens McVay, II; mother, Jeanette "Jenni" Pate (Mike Grissett) of Red Level; son, Stacey Evens "Boe" McVay, III.; daughter, Lyla Elizabeth Henderson; brother, Thomas Braxton Moore (Jodie); mother-in-law, Kathy Kilcrease (Earl) of McDonough, Georgia; stepmother, Vickie Moore of Opp. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Moore in August 2020, and her step-father, Ronnie Pate. Somer was a graduate of Opp High School. She was an avid reader and loved spending time with her husband and children. 
The family will gather at the mother's home, Jenni Pate, 31834 Hester Store Road, River Falls, AL.
