“Nell” as she was affectionately called by everyone, worked in the nursing field for many years at the hospital, local health department and with home health. Before her health began to fail, she loved going to the beach and jet skiing at Gantt Lake. She loved gospel music, the Gaither’s and the Oak Ridge Boys, her favorites. She loved watching TV, especially Days of Our Lives, westerns, and Walker-Texas Ranger, she would often declare she was watching a “never seen before” episode, but everyone knew she had seen it many times! She enjoyed having company, but preferred it to be “just for a little while!”. Those who knew her best, posthumously, reminisced about her favorite things: sitting in her favorite chair, talking on the phone, watching television and smoking and drinking Coca-Cola's! She loved spending time with their large family and especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but of all the things Nell loved in life, none was greater than her love for her husband, Earl.
