Ronald “Ron” Jackson Terry, age 77 of Andalusia passed away April 19, 2026 at his sister’s home in Opp. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 23rd at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Rev. John Eiland will officiate. Left to cherish his memory, sons, Jason Douglas Terry (Connie) of Jacksonville, Texas and B.J. Terry; daughters, Vanessa Lucida (Al) of Niceville, Florida; Cena Parr (Stephen) of St. Marys, Georgia; Mary Terry McGraw of Crestview, Florida; sister, Kathy Terry Wilson (Scott) of Opp, Alabama; 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Terry in 2020 and his beloved dog, “Moreover”. He was a member of Greentree Fellowship Church and worked for the Okaloosa Sheriff’s Department for over 20 years. For over 60 years, he was a talented skit artist, and most of his drawings featured his beloved dog "Moreover". Often when he traveled, he would draw comical skits featuring "Moreover" and would leave the drawings at restaurants and hotels as a gesture of appreciation for their services. He had also worked as a radio personality with WAAO and had his own program on Sunday afternoons, “Country Legends”. Ron was loved by all who knew him, he made the world a better place in his own special way.
