Robert Williams, Sr. Obituary

Mr. Robert Milton Williams, Sr., of Louisville passed away Monday, November 28, 2022, in a Dothan hospital after a short illness. He was 82.

A graveside service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, December 2, 2022, at Pea River Presbyterian Church cemetery. Trip Etheridge will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Keahey Funeral Home in Clio. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the Palmer Home for Children, 2608 Main Street, Columbus, MS 39701. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Stephen Baxter, Phillip Baxter, Franklin Baxter, Kendall Cooper, Ravon Graham, David Abercrombie, Justin Cooper, Eric McRae, and John Sauls.

Mr. Williams was a lifelong member of Pea River Presbyterian Church and was a Deacon. He had a long career in road construction with Bledsoe Mining, Deep South, Graham and Cooper Construction Companies. He made many close friends through the years of working. He loved God, being on the farm, his cattle, and especially spending time with the grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory, loving wife of 60 years, Janette Reed Williams; son, Robert M. Williams, Jr. (Cindy); daughters, Faye Byford (Ken), Alice Teal (Mickey); grandchildren, Jessica Adams (Chris), Kayla Sanborn (Jeremy), Lianne Barretto (Brad), Amanda Fowler (Justin), Lorianne Byford, Kendra Byford, Michael Teal (Diane Edgar) and Roxi Jacobs (Ryan); great grandchildren, Aubrey Adams, Matthew, Tyler, Nicholas and Myah Sanborn, John Robert and Sawyer Barretto, Cooper Jacobs; brother, Kenneth Williams (Mary); sister, Gladys Ussery; brothers-in-law, Malcolm Reed and Thad McCall (Carol); sister-in-law, Martha Reed; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Warren Williams, Jr. and Berta Abercombie Williams; brothers-in-law, James Reed and Wade Ussery, niece, Allison Reed and nephew, Brad Ussery.
