Randall Tyson Jay, lovingly known by the nickname “Red Eagle,” age 68, passed away on December 21, 2025. He was born on February 24, 1957, in Andalusia, Alabama, to William Buddy Jay and Erma Jay.
Randall was a hardworking man who spent many years working as a crane operator. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, floating the river, and searching for arrowheads. Those who knew him knew his love for nature and simple pleasures.
He is survived by his son, Van Jay of Enterprise; three daughters, Randi Jay of Andalusia, Brandy Jay of Enterprise, Alabama, and Linda Jay “Little Wing.” He is also survived by his brother, Johnny Williams of Andalusia, Alabama, and his sister, Tyna Jay of Andalusia.
Randall was a proud grandfather to Chaney “Tom” Dewrell, Jayda Williams, Jayce Henderson, Mylee Henderson, Jaylen Henderson, Harley Jay, Logan Jay, Alexis Andress, and Gage Andress.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on December 29, 2025, at Adellum Baptist Church in Andalusia, Alabama. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Wade Thomason will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Slick Nixon, Ronnie Nash, Randy “Bear Claw” Nixon, Brandon Johnson, Daniel Fernandez, and Joseph Garland.
Randall will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
