Priscilla Campbell Obituary

Priscilla Ruth Skipper Campbell, 85, of McKenzie went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 6th, 2024.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 9th, 2024 at Keahey Funeral Home of Andalusia. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior. Brother Michael Holcomb will officiate with eulogies from Dwayne “Railroad” Williams and Jeremy Freeman.

She will be laid to rest at Sweet Home Baptist Cemetery in McKenzie beside her loving husband, Pastor Robert Campbell.

Priscilla was born April 14, 1939 in Butler County. A true servant to the Lord she left highschool to marry her sweetheart, Robert Campbell. They lived their lives for God, serving at Sweet Home Baptist the majority of their time and later on at Way of the Cross Baptist Church. A true pastor’s wife, she fulfilled everything God would have of her and beyond. She never let anyone leave her house without being filled, both with food and in spirit. Priscilla loved her family with tremendous reverence and serving people, no matter their need. In her later years she was a home health aide.

Left to cherish her memories, daughters, Brenda (Dwayne) Williams, Deborah Freeman and Ronda Nelson; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Priscilla was preceded in death by her husband, Pastor Robert Campbell; parents Cleo Augustus and Ruthie Lou (Bush) Skipper; brothers Marvin and Gene Skipper; son in-law Garvin Freeman; and two great-grandchildren, RC Brewer and Cade Elijah Bonham.

The family acknowledges with deep gratitude the selfless acts of service and kindness by Susan and Tyre Bowen and Garden Baptist Church for their support to the family during these hard times. Also with much gratitude and love to Priscilla’s son-in-laws Dwayne “Railroad” Williams and Mark Seany for taking care of her every need later in life, especially her grilled cheeses. Keahey Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
