He was a graduate of Geneva High School and the University of Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Throughout his working career, he enjoyed service-oriented positions at hospitals and funeral homes. For the last few years, Perry worked with the  Piggly Wiggly in Florala, starting as a “stock boy” and promoted until he was the store manager. He also worked in the  Piggly Wiggly in Andalusia and Defuniak Springs stores. Part of Perry’s success was that he implemented laughter and a positive attitude into the work environment; he never met a stranger.  Perry loved outdoor activities, especially camping and kayaking. He was a devoted Florida Gator fan, football Saturday’s was one of his favorite times. He loved to cook and grill and had an extensive cookbook collection. Perry loved animals, and greatly grieving his absence are the family canines, Chrystal and Spike and kitty Sammie. He will be greatly missed.
