Peggy Tucker Jackson, age 86, of Andalusia, Alabama, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026.
Born on September 28, 1939, Peggy was the daughter of the late Shorter Tucker and Lodell Bess Tucker. A lifelong resident of Andalusia, she graduated from Andalusia High School and attended Conecuh River Baptist Church. Peggy found great joy in crocheting and cooking, and she loved sharing her handmade creations and home-cooked meals with those she loved. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, generous heart, and the love she had for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Shorter Tucker and Lodell Bess Tucker; her husband, Robert Jackson; one granddaughter, Crystal Gale Jackson; three brothers; and two sisters.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Randall (Brenda) Jackson of Andalusia and Russell (Mary) Jackson of Dallas, Georgia; her daughters, Susy Haney of Birmingham and Pam (A.J.) Stewart of Prattville, Alabama; her brother, Tony Tucker of Andalusia; her sisters, Myrtle Ogles of Florida, Sybil (Gene) Ball of Pensacola, Florida, Doris Covin of Andalusia, Shirley (Don) Taylor of Eufaula, Alabama, and Genna Sansom of Andalusia; Jimmy and Angela Lunsford; caregiver, Wilma Walker; 21 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dennis Knowles officiating. Burial will follow at Buck Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Sowell, Lee Jackson, Ryder Jackson, Ruston Jackson, Sean Haney, and Jimmy Lunsford.
Honorary pallbearers will be all of her grandchildren.
