She was born October 6, 1924, in Barbour County and lived a full life as a gardener, quilter, baby whisperer, storyteller, and moral compass of her family. A stalwart in her church and community, she exemplified Christ's love through a life of service. She played a mean game of dominos and Skipbo, and was known to deliver a sharp one-liner, a pot of gourmet turnip greens, or a hug that cured what ailed you with equal skill. She is survived by her children: Billy Floyd (Linda), Gloria, Charles, Tony, and Jerome; grandchildren Tangie (Jeff), Teri, Tamara, Todd (Robin), Amy (Eric), Kristy, Misty (Bobby), Jeremy (Erin), Judson (Amanda), Jacob (Sarah), Jeff (Julie), and Jacque (Pancho), as well as numerous great grandchildren and several great great; all of whom are grateful to God for letting us borrow MeeMaw for as long as He did. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd, three children, and one great grandson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Barbour County Senior Center of Clio.
