Michael Dewayne Stewart of Dozier passed away in a Birmingham hospital.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1pm on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Chester Watson will officiate.
Left to cherish his memory, mother, Mary B. Hooks; daughter, Micha McCormick (Scott) of Troy; sister, Sue Jackson (Ray) of Opp; 4 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 3 stepdaughters, 1 nephew, 4 nieces, aunts, uncles and a lot of cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, "Hero" Hooks.
Michael was a “loner” and a very private person. He loved his daughter and grandchildren with all his heart. He loved his mother for always being there for him and all she did for him. Michael loved to garden and be outside. He loved fishing, hunting and going camping and spending time with his daughter and grandchildren. He was a 1990 graduate of Red Level High School and one of his favorite jobs was being a “food runner” for the Paula Dean Restaurant.
In lieu of flowers, please make monetary contributions to assist his mother or to the charity of one’s choice.
