Michael D. King, of Lockhart, passed away on July 1, 2020, at the age of 57. Mr. King is survived by his companion of 30 years, Barbara Herring of Lockhart, his father Curtis King of Lockhart, three stepdaughters, Trudy Obenhofer and Mike of Andalusia, Teresa Taylor of Andalusia, and Tammy Slaughter of Andalusia, two brothers, Douglas King of Tallahassee, FL, and Scottie King of Florala, two sisters Shelia Vega and Mauro of Lockhart, and Deborah King and Jeffery of Lockhart; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Mr. King's memorial will be announced at a later date. Michael worked as a heavy equipment operator at Southland Utilities; his favorite past time is playing with the great-grandchildren and riding them on the golf cart.
