Mavis (Scofield) Morgan

Mrs. Mavis Scofield Morgan of Andalusia passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022, at her residence. She was 90.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, March 6, 2022, in the chapel of Keahey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Keahey Funeral Home 30 minutes prior to services. Rev. Ed Ganus will officiate. Burial will follow in Stone Lake Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Weeks, Chuck Messick, James Adams, Jerry Merrill, Eric Black and Dennis Sellers.

Left to cherish her memory, her sister, Therla Brogan of Crestview, Florida; granddaughter, Daphne Morgan Messick (Chuck) of Andalusia; great grandchildren; Jonna Weeks (Jeremy) of Andalusia; Morgan Black (Eric) of River Falls; great- great grandchildren, Vanessa Weeks, Shelby Weeks, Kamden “Toby” Weeks, Jenna Weeks and Woodrow Black. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Jerewl Morgan, son, Jerry A. Morgan.

She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church; before her health declined, she loved to sew and was a wonderful homemaker. Her great-great grandchildren were the joy of her life; they affectionally called her “Nanny Mae”. She was greatly loved and will be much missed.
