Obituary
Mary Louise Cooper, age 102 of Opp passed away August 18, 2023, at the Opp Health and Rehabilitation.
Cremation was chosen and inurnment will follow next to her husband's final resting place.
Mary married the love of her life, a Major in the Air Force; the couple had two children. The Air Force life took the family to lots of places, through the years they resided in many other states, some of their favorite being California, New Mexico, Arizonia and Florida. Mary's working years entailed her being a telephone operator, and while living in California she owned her own Lapidary Shop; she was a "rockhound" and became very talented in creating beautiful pieces of jewelry from various natural stones. Mary had a lovely personality and was truly loved by her extended family at Opp Health and Rehabilitation. She was also loved and cared for by a friend, Marvin Theus. Mary and Marvin's mother had been lifelong friends and Marvin became an advocate and close friend to Mary in her final years.
