The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday at the church. Interment will follow in Stone Lake Gardens. Left to cherish her memory is, Pastor Eddie Gossett, her loving husband; Sisters, Hilda Esawi of Bethlehem, Israel; Judit Abuali of Jerusalem, Israel; brothers, George Allis, Winston Salem, North Carolina; Issa Allis, Jerusalem, Israel; numerous nieces and nephews;
She was preceded in death by her father, Bishara Allis, and mother, Mary Allis, a sister, Nuha Kuttab.
Born in Venezuela, and having lived in Israel for many years, Marlene moved to the United States and was residing in New York, when she met her husband, Pastor Eddie. The story of how they met and were married is a true miracle story. Pastor Eddie will share the story during the eulogy. She was a graduate of Pinecrest Bible College and ministered in Israel and the United States and was the epitome of the Proverbs 31 woman. She was a special lady and was known for her quiet and gentle spirit. While reminiscing with family and friends, it was said that the world would be a better place with more “Marlene’s”. She spoke fluent Arabic, Spanish, Hebrew, and English but Pastor Eddie added post humorously that she never quite mastered the “Southern” English. She was greatly loved by all who knew her.
