Obituary
Margaret (Jones) Elmore, age 82, of Andalusia, passed away on June 14, 2023, At Opp Health and Rehabilitation. Originally born in Wildwood, Florida on August 16, 1940, to W.M. “Bill” and Henrietta (Turner) Jones, Margaret attended school and graduated from Andalusia High School in the Class of 1958. From there she attended and then graduated from Massey Draughon Business School in Montgomery, AL. She married Donald E. Elmore and had two wonderful children that Blessed her with five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was a faithful member of Sanford Baptist Church for over 60 years and her main pastime was spending time with her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 17,2023 at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel of Andalusia. Reverend Ed Russell will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Stone Lake Gardens.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Barry (Carolyn) Elmore of Loango, and her daughter, Karen (Steve) Thomasson of Andalusia. Her grandchildren; Tim (Brittany) Thomasson, Eric (Rebecca) Elmore, Amanda (Chris) Jeffcoat, Emily (Garrett) Thomasson, Hannah (Jacob) Gomillion. Her great-grandchildren: Jensen Jeffcoat and Baby Thomasson is due in October. Lastly, many family and friends will also cherish her memory.
Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Donald E. Elmore, her mother and father, Bill and Henrietta Jones, and her brother Wayne Jones.
