Mack McCart

Mack McCart, age 63, of McKenzie, passed away at a Dothan hospital on May 14, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 11: 30 a.m., Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Rex Tolbert and Reverend Tyree Bowen Officiating.  Interment to follow in the will Bushfield Cemetery, Garden Road, McKenzie, AL. 

Mr. McCart dearly loved his family and spending as much time with them as possible.  His hobbies included hunting, fishing, carpentry, and most of all the Lord. Mr. McCart attended Mott Church of Christ faithfully and he was a dedicated Christian.  He could quote Scripture from memory that he based the way he lived his life on.  He worked for Huggins Sod Farm as a machine operator until his health prevented him from continuing, but it did not stop him from loving his life.

Mr. McCart is survived by his wife, Doris Lee McCart of McKenzie, his two sons, Russell McCart of McKenzie, and Jason McCart of Red Level.  His sisters are Betty Lewis of Andalusia, Audrey McCart of Gantt, Gail McCart of Andalusia, Joyce Sorrells, Gantt.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim Frank and Lillian McCart, his brothers, Benny Frank McCart, James McCart, Bobby McCart, and his sisters, Jeanette Williamson, and Sandra Cooper.

Pallbearers will be Chris Lee, Justin Lee, Bill McCann, Levi Lee, Miguel Vella, and Osten Lee.
