Ms. Lorri Leigh Odom of Montgomery passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 19, 2020, at her parent’s home in Elba. She was 37.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm., Sunday, March 22, 2020, at Keahey Chapel in Andalusia. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12 noon until the time of services. All state and federal Coronavirus precautions will be implemented during this time of public gathering. Elder Buddy Gilman and Pastor Anthony Czaja. Burial will follow in the Antioch Congregational Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Russ Thompson, Andrew Thompson, Kurt Thompson, Josh Thompson, Eric Lynn, and Brandon Chance.
Left to cherish her memory, parents, Lavon and Carlina Odom of Elba; brothers, Joseph (Michelle) Odom of Elba; Gideon (Tess) Odom of the Philipines; two nieces, Mercedez Bush and Andrea Odom and nephew, Gavin Odom. Aunt Barbara (John) Thompson of Opp. She was preceded in death by grandparents, A.B. “Beda” (Dessie Rae) Odom and Saturnino (Segunda) Corpuz.
Lorri grew up in Brantley, AL and graduated from Brantley High School in 2000. In 2011, she graduated from Trenholm Community College in Montgomery with a degree in nursing and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. Lorri began her nursing career with the Montgomery Prison System and later found her passion for working with troubled teens through her position at Safety Net, a home for challenging teens. As young as age 2, Lorri discovered her gift of drawing. That talent was channeled into becoming a skilled and sought-after Tattoo artist with A-1 Tattoo and Body Art in Montgomery. She greatly loved her friends and family and especially her nephew, Gavin and nieces, Mercedez and Andrea. Lorri and her brother, Joseph had an inseparable bond. She also leaves behind her precious fur-baby, a Morkie named Jules.
