Linda (Riley) Smithart

Linda Riley Smithart of the Carolina Community passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 74.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at the Keahey Chapel. Rev. Jack Day will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at the funeral home. 
A 1965 graduate of Pleasant Home School, Linda was the daughter of the late Laval Riley and Louise Weed Riley. In addition to her parents, in 2010, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Lenard Smithart; and a sister and brother-in-law, Loretta Cobb and Ray Cobb. Linda's relationship with God was evident to all who knew her; she loved God, she studied His word daily; she was the prayer warrior of the family. The family sought their mother's prayers often and drew strength from knowing their mother was petitioning God every day for them. She cherished every moment she spent with her wonderful family. She was known for her exemplary cooking, loved the outdoors, and was a talented gardener. Linda was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish her memory, daughters, Lori Bailey (Jason); Leslie Jernigan (Will); son Rocky Smithart (Charity); stepson, Rickey Smithart (Debi) ; brother, Leland Riley; sister, Lisa McBrayer (David) all of Andalusia; grandchildren, Breanna Corbell, Kinsley Bailey, Ashton Bailey, Jaden Smithart, Carter Smithart, Brice Smithart, Brady Jernigan, Tiffany Nicholas, and Jeanna Olesin.
