Katie Sellers Hollis

Katie Sellers Hollis, loving daughter, mother, aunt, and grandmother, 99, of Georgiana, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, May 14th, 2024 at Georgiana Health and Rehabilitation. Katie dearly loved her family and was cherished by them, as well. She will be missed more than words can express. 

Katie was born October 5, 1924 in McKenzie, Alabama. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Barbara Scott (Ladon); son-in-law, Tracy Russell; grandchildren, Kerry Nixon (Kay), Kenny Nixon (Pam), Curtis Russell (Heather), and Ginny Patton (Mike); great-grandchildren, Brittany Cook (Steven), Katie Nixon, Jessie Booker (Jeremy), Angela Nixon, Kendal O’Neal, Chris Kilpatrick, Eric Kilpatrick, Russell Price, and Cameron Russell; great-great grandchildren, Masen Parker, Mia Andrews, Jace Booker, Sawyer Cook, Dawson Booker, Rowan O’Neal, Kairo O’Neal, Maverick Hord, Beau Cook, Everly Andrews, Fischer Andrews, and Garrett Cook; and niece, Joan Whittle.

She is preceded in passing by her parents, J.L. Sellers and Effie Gafford Sellers; her daughter, Maria Diane Russell; her husband, Lemuel Huggins; and a number of brothers and sisters.  

A memorial service for friends and family will be announced at a later date.
