Kathryn Irene (Bunten) Wells

Kathryn Irene Wells, of Dozier passed away October 15, 2024, in the Andalusia hospital. She was 92.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. Rev. Billy Boles will officiate. Interment will follow in the Ables Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Fowler, Jason Fowler, Brody Ingram, Farrell Gilmore, Timothy Bartley, and Jackson Bartley. 

Left to cherish her memory, her children, Teresa Gilmore (Farrell) of Gantt, AL; Victoria Nelson (Jerry) of Indianna; Mark Wells (Becky) of Indianna; son-in-law, Dana Coots of Tennessee; daughters-in-law, Tina Scroggs of Gantt; Connie Scroggs of Ohio; grandchildren, Katrina Fowler (Jason), Kanda Gilmore, Michael Scroggs, Anthony Gilmore, Tiffany Strickland, Jeanette Coots, Cassie McBride, LaRhonda Austin, Donald Bennett, Andy Scroggs, Nicole Berberick, Billy Scroggs, Laura Scroggs, Michelle Connerton, Trisha Thompson, Chloe Brooks, Garrett Brooks, Timothy Bartley, Sue Knehr, Tim Wells, and Jennifer Summers and several great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Wells; sons, Joseph Scroggs, Mike Scroggs, Thomas Scroggs, Jerry Scroggs, daughters, Tina Coots, Patti MeLau; grandchildren, Kathry Bartley, Monica Smith, Ashley Moore; grand grandchild, Arianna Smith.

Kathryn was active for many years with the Heath VFW and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW; she enjoyed playing Bingo and especially loved spending time with her family.
