Judy Golden

Judy Lane Schofield Golden, age 81, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026.

She was born on March 17, 1944, in Luverne, Alabama, to the late Douglas Schofield and Clodine Killough Schofield. Judy had a gentle spirit and found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. She especially loved bird watching, admiring butterflies, and spending cherished time with her loving daughter, Jennifer.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Bennett of Andalusia; her brother, Jack Schofield (Judy) of Prattville, Alabama; her sister, Betty Ledlow of Millbrook, Alabama; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Judy is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Golden. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026, in the chapel of Keahey Funeral Home in Andalusia, Alabama. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

She will be laid to rest at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.
