Mrs. Judy Messick Gibson, age 70, of Andalusia passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022, in the Opp Nursing Facility.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 28, 2022, at Keahey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, March 27, 2022, at Keahey Funeral Home.
Rev. Billy Boles will officiate the services. Graveside services will follow at Weed Cemetery (Old Three Notch Road, Weedville, Alabama). Serving as pallbearers will be Lance Gibson, Derek Adams, Cameron Adams, Lamar Whittle, Mike Moore, and Duane Oneal. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Gibson, Tra Bedsole, Jason Hart, Beau Hart, Caden Carter and Cody Carter.
She was born on May 25, 1951, in Luverne, Alabama to Carroll Harvey Messick and Beulah Bell Jones Messick. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Annie Laura Messick; her twin brother, Jerry Ray Messick; and brothers, Charles Messick, Jonas "Pete" Messick, Cloy Harvey Messick and William Messick.
Left to cherish her memory, loving husband, Glen Gibson; son, Ken (Rachel) Gibson of Andalusia; sisters, Lena Morgan of Andalusia; Mary Maddox of Andalusia; Betty Edgar of Cottonwood, AL; grandchildren, Lance (Tiffany) Gibson of Andalusia; Justin (Breyl) Gibson of Andalusia; a dear friend, Teresa Hudson of Andalusia; numerous nieces and nephews; numerous great nieces and nephews.
Judy loved doing anything that involved watching her family do activities they enjoyed. She was an avid fan of Kinston's South Alabama Speedway and especially when her son, Ken was racing. She was at most every event her grandchildren were involved in whether school band or their sports. She loved cats and one of her favorites through the years was "PeBo". Judy will be greatly missed.
