Johnnie Carter of Horn Hill, Alabama passed away December 25, 2024 at the home of his daughter, Kathy.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Keahey Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Canant will officiate.
Left to cherish his memory, children, Cindy Scott of Elizabeth City, NC; Danny Carter (Lisa) of Elizabeth City, NC; Sharon Holmes of Conroe, TX; Kathy Beckworth (Michael) of Horn Hill, AL; Paula Carter of Opp, AL; step children, Stephanie Powers (Carson) of Horn Hill, AL; Blake Jackson (Allison) of Horn Hill, AL; Lynn Smith of Anniston, AL; and Patricia Ramsey of Farmville, NC; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Brenda Rice of NewBern, NC; Donna Reid of Elizabeth City, NC; Diane Spruill of Creswell, NC; Debbie Creef of East Lake, NC.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Pamela Carter and daughter, Connie Gibbs and son, Joey Carter and a stepdaughter, Wendy Hart and brothers, Charles Carter and William Carter and sister, Mavis Belvin.
Mr. Carter served in the U.S. Army. He was a commercial truck driver during his working years. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
