Jacky Cox Obituary

Mr. Jacky Cox, of Clio, passed away peacefully Monday, November 5, 2018, at his residence. Jacky Cox held a special place in the hearts of the people of Clio. A lifelong resident of Clio, he had also held a distinct honor in being a lifelong member of Calvary Assembly of God Church. Mr. Cox was a self-established businessman in the community known for his infamous “rolling candy store” that was headquartered from his Honda motorcycle. He was a sought-after candy, drink, and peanut supplier at any sporting event. Jacky’s “motorcycle candy store” made him just as famous in Clio as anyone in Hollywood.

He is survived by his sister, Sarah Nell Urquhart of Lithonia, GA; two sisters-in-law, Betty Cox of Clio and Helen Cox of Ariton; along with a host nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Mr. Cox is preceded in death by his parents, Tullis Cox and Bertha Belle Hagler Cox; his brothers, Jerry Cox, Charles Cox, Bobby Ray Cox, and Aubrey Cox.

Funeral services for Mr. Cox will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at Calvary Assembly of God Church. Rev. Randy Adams will officiate. Special music will be provided by his great-niece Claire Wood accompanied by Angie Childree. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services beginning at 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow in Sykes Creek Cemetery. Keahey Funeral Home of Clio has been entrusted with arrangements.
