J.C. Walden

J.C. Walden, age 81, of Red Level, passed away December 29, 2025. He was born August 27, 1944, to the late Radford Walden and Anna Smalls Walden Weaver.

J.C. was a hardworking and dedicated water lineman and a carpenter by trade who took great pride in his work and in providing for his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who deeply cherished time spent with his loved ones.

He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Ziglar Walden; stepfather, Bobby Weaver; his children, Candace Walden, Nekia Everhart (David), and Larecia Laney (Shane); his stepchildren, Michael Ziglar (Nikki), Rhonda Blackburn (Russell), and Eric Burke (Tracy); his grandchildren, Danielle Pitre (Matt), Jason Walden (Jasmine), Audra Dean, Zachary Ward (Tapanga), Madison Ward (Tamberlie), Ariana Atkins (Chris), Wyatt Everhart, Hannah Everhart, Ezekiel Everhart (Jessica), Benjamin Everhart, Brayden Laney, Brittany Braden (Todd), Kyle Jones (Andi), Brandon Blackburn, Hallie Burke (Ben Fuller), Charles "Bubba" Burke, Dustin Bradford, Amber Burke, Tyler Ziglar, and Matthew Ziglar; his great-grandchildren, Ayden, Adileigh, Oren, Evalyn Pitre, Carter Walden, Bentley Sherman, Baylor Harrelson, Bristol Harrelson, Michael Coates, Joseph Doster, Amelia Ward, Allison Atkins, Colby Atkins, Daisy Atkins, Mason Pool, Matthew Pool, Ayda Braden, Alivia Braden, Kaiden Jones, Crimson Taylor, Tayten Taylor, Ryder Ziglar, Bryson Ziglar, Ashton Ziglar, and Neveah Ziglar; his sisters, Helen Whitman and Dorothy Morris; his brother, Randy Walden (Nelda); and his best friend, Howard Johnson “Doodle.”

J.C. was preceded in death by his parents, Radford Walden and Anna Walden Weaver; his children, Latecia Renee Walden and Randall Keith Walden; and his brother, J.L. Walden.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Keahey Funeral Home with Bro. Glenn Vaughn, Bro. Steve Smith, and Bro. Pete Lee officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Keahey Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Eric Burke, Madison Ward, Zachary Ward, Todd Braden, Jason Walden, and Walt Weaver.

Burial will follow the funeral service at South Church of God Cemetery in Red Level.
