Huel Dean Stanley, age 68 of Andalusia passed away February 15, 2024 at his residence after an extended illness.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, February 23rd at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Durwood Cleland will officiate. The family will receive friends at Keahey Funeral Home one hour prior to the services.
Left to cherish his memory, sons, Jeremy Stanley (Caine Clayton) of Atlanta, Georgia; Jason Stanley (fiancé’ Courtney Lassiter) of Opp; daughter, Hayley Ammons (Cam) of Andalusia; brothers, Kenneth Stanley (Rhonda) of Opp and Glennie Stanley (Sheila) of Opp; sister, Jeanice Messick (Jerry) of Greenville, South Carolina; grandchildren, Gracelynn Pruett, Camryn Ammons, Jase Stanley, Avery Stanley, Kayelee Stanley, Kage Stanley, Logan Stanley; nephews, Caleb Stanley, Ethan Stanley, niece, Tyuanna Ross and nephew, Langdon Stanley.
Huel was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Stanley and Wera Smith and brothers, Jerome Stanley and Wayne Stanley.
Huel was a 1975 graduate of Opp High School; he did construction work and other related type jobs during his working years. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church for more than 15 years and he served his Lord and Savior by doing things at the church; he helped cook and maintain the grounds, both of which he was very good at doing.
