Hazel Searcy Obituary
Mrs. Hazel R. Searcy, age 85, of Andalusia passed away Thursday, July 4, 2019. She was surrounded by her son, daughter, grandson, daughter-in-law, and hospice nurse.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 7, 2019, at Keahey Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Sunday. Bro. Eddie Gossett and Derrell Daniel will officiate. Interment will follow in Babbie Baptist Church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Shon Searcy, Bo Searcy, Ronnie Rhodes, Steve Gaines, Mitch Schultz, and Duston Brannon. Honorary pallbearers will be Gerry Russell, Randy Russell, and David Russell.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Lynne Searcy of Andalusia; son, Bobby (Gina) Searcy of Webb, Al; grandchildren, Bo Searcy, and Shon Searcy; great-grandchildren, McKenzie Searcy, and Colton Searcy.
Mrs. Searcy worked at the Alatex for many years. Her ministry in life was cooking; many have been the recipient of her ministry of cooking. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mother-in-law, and friend to all who knew her. She loved her Lord Jesus.
