Hayward Wayne Davis

Hayward Wayne Davis, age 51 of Opp passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Mizell Memorial hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Monroe Sasser will officiate. Cremation will follow.

Keahey Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Left to cherish his memory, loving mother, Glenda Dale Jones Davis of Opp; a daughter, Tristan Austin; siblings, Douglas Paul Davis (Hannah) of Huntsville, AL; Rhonda Dale Davis (James Wambles) of the Babbie Community; Tracy Lynn Davis (Damon Caple) of Nashville, Tennessee; nieces and nephews, Serra Rood, Houston Rood; Reba Davis Blair, Jake Blair; Aime Davis, Evelyn Davis, and Kaylie Padgett; great nieces and nephews, John Riley Rood, Ameila Rood, Oliver Blair; and Parker Alan Thompson.

Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Hayward Davis. He attended trade school college and studied automotive repair. He enjoyed any kind of work that let him be outdoors; he had a creative flair, one of his creations was to make rings from spoons. He was described as a "dare devil" and possessing a "heart of gold" and being the "fun" in the family gatherings. He was loved by all and especially by his nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him.
