Glenda (Vance) Nelson

Mrs. Glenda Vance Nelson of Hartford passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021, at her home. She was 71.
Private graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, September 2, 2021, at the Heaven's Gates Cemetery. The eulogy will be given by her daughter, Danielle Nelson.
Serving as pallbearers will be Shane Nelson, Damion Carswell, Aaron Carswell, and Scott Nelson, Mark Lott, and Joe Boutwell. Left to cherish her memory, husband, James M. Nelson of Elba; son John N. Newsham, Jr.; daughters, Renee Reeves (Frank) of Elba; Danielle Nelson Scott of Elba; brother, Wendell "Pinky" Vance (Cathy) of Georgia; sisters, Sheila Armstrong (Melvin) of Brantley; Lois Gilley (Eugene) of Hartford; grandchildren, Heather, Shane, Cassandra, Tim, and Alex; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon Vance, Sr., and Eva Bernice Bundy; grandson, Ethan Douglas Nelson; six brothers, Billy Vance, Winford Vance, Leon Vance, Jr., Jerry Vance, Wendy Vance, and Jesse Vance; and a sister, Becky Campbell.
She loved spending time with her children. Keahey Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
