Gary Wayne was a native of Nashville, Tennessee and served in the Marine Corp. for 5 years. He was stationed in Japan during the Vietnam War, he was one that gave the final “OK” that a plane was ready to fly; he also worked in the Blue Angels Planes. During his military time, he was introduced to President Ronald Reagan and thanked for his service. Gary Wayne was a self taught master woodworker. While in Nashville, he completely built log homes for some of the most prestigious home owners in Tennessee. He built one for Authur Fort. Also, two homes that he did log cabin workmanship belonged to Dolly Parton and George Jones. He and his brother made custom cabinets that were Putin the stars homes. He was also a talented guitarist and while working on the homes of Dolly Parton and George Jones, most musicians took time to sit down and do some “picking and grinning” with Gary Wayne. He will be greatly missed.
