Obituary
Ernie Durwin Armstrong of McKenzie passed away August 17, 2023, at his residence. He was 69 years old.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, August 20, 2023, at Bushfield Cemetery. Rev. Tyree Bowen will officiate. Special guitar music will be provided by John Bennett. Keahey Funeral Home is directing.
Left to cherish his memory, loving wife of 48 years, Brenda Armstrong; sons, Shelby Ladon Gorum of Dothan; William Clayton Gorum of McKenize; sister, June Odom (Tommy) of McKenzie; two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Benji Armstrong, brothers, Marlin Armstrong and Wayne Armstrong.
Durwin owned and operated Armstrong Garage and served the community as an excellent mechanic for many years. He attended Garden Baptist Church.
