She was a faithful member of Good News Baptist Chapel and found great joy in serving others. Joyce loved flowers, gardening, and cooking big meals for family and friends. Many knew her through her work selling Mary Kay and Tupperware, where she made countless friendships through the years.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and proud great-grandmother whose kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Thermon Grimes of Dozier; her son, Tim Grimes (Mary) of Rose Hill; her daughter, Kim Rabren (Doug) of Rose Hill; her grandchildren, Dale Grimes (Leah), Kayla Lucas (Kyle), Katie Elmore (Clay), Brooks Rabren (Phoenix), and Emmy Ellyn Rabren (Fiancé, Hal Smithart); and her great-grandchildren, Laura Leigh Grimes, Charlie Grimes, Maggie Grimes, Cooper Lucas, Owen Lucas, Rhett Lucas, Millie-Gray Robertson, Wade Elmore, Archie Elmore, and sister-in-law, Jo Marshall.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by their infant son and fourteen beloved siblings.
