Edwin "Ed" Carl Shehane

Edwin “Ed” Carl Shehane of Prattville, a native of Clio, passed into the arms of his loving Savior on May 21, 2023, in a Montgomery hospital surrounded by his son and brother. Ed was 72.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel in Clio (1411 Blue Springs Street). The family will receive friends from 12 o’clock on Thursday until time of the service. Rev. Russell Hagler will officiate. Interment will follow in the Pea River Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Mitchell Shehane, Keith Shehane, Rodney Casey, Brandon Casey, Tristan Casey and Adam Caver. Keahey Funeral Home of Clio is entrusted with the arrangements.

Left to cherish his memory, son, Jason Scott Shehane (Amanda); grandson, Davis James Shehane, who was the apple of his eye; brothers, Sherrill Dwan Shehane, Allen “Al” Shehane (Deborah); sister, Sharon Shehane; nine nieces and nephews; 12 great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Audrey Kay Shehane; his father, James Cecil Shehane and mother, Mary Baker Shehane. When Ed was 13, he and his siblings were taken in by their Uncle James O. Baker and Aunt Sue Baker.

Ed will be greatly missed.
