Edward "Ed" Gibson Obituary

Mr. Edward “Ed” Lamar Gibson, age 70, of Andalusia, passed away Monday, April 09, 2018, at his home.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Darlene Gibson of Andalusia; his children: Robert (Christina) Gibson of Andalusia, George (Tamra) Gibson of North Carolina, Edward Lamar (Heather) Gibson, Jr. of Tennessee, Jody (Therisia) Gibson of North Carolina, James Gibson of North Carolina, and Penny Kimbril of Andalusia; 19 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Albert (Nancy) Kelly of Atmore and Carl Kelly of Andalusia; and his sister, Frances Hildreth of Andalusia. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Brianna Cochran and two great-grandchildren, Jordan Douglas and Ryan Douglas.

A funeral service with military honors will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel of Andalusia with Rev. John McMath and Rev. Roger Lee officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Andalusia. Serving as pallbearers: Harry Blocker, Sonny Helms, Dewayne Scroggins, Kirk Henderson, Tom Watt, and Kenneth Jones. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Keahey Funeral Home.
