To know Uncle David was to know a smile that could light up a room—and a head strong enough to knock everyone in it out. If you had “the fool” in your corner, you knew you’d be alright. Voted Most Popular by his graduating class in 1970, he carried that title proudly through life, becoming one of the most well-known people across the Southeast. A true entrepreneur, his ventures stretched across sales, chemistry, and even a bit of legal expertise, making sure his life was never anything close to boring.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Jackson (Jack) and Jewell Brock Robinette; his brother, Andrew Lloyd (Lloyd) Robinette; his paternal grandparents, Edgar and Ida B. Ketchum Robinette; maternal grandparents Lloyd Jeter and Ruth Danner Brock; as well as his aunts and uncles on both sides.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Culpeper of Banks; his daughter, Jaclyn Robinette (Dustin Senn) of Troy; and his stepson, Billy Finch (Carolina) of Enterprise. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Brianna, Skyler, and Rhea Holley of Banks; Elena, Luke, and Wyatt Finch of Enterprise; Alice, Alenna, and Adam Senn; Chelsey Bundy; Aria and James Alfaro. He also leaves behind his niece, Angel Robinette Cross (George) of Crestview, Florida.
Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Spellman, John Starboard, Rodney Davenport, Wiley Brantley, Jeter Brock (“Little Jete”), Wiley Brantley, and Terry “Chinese” Robinette. Honorary pallbearer will be Bobby Phillips.
Services will be held at Elam Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by the funeral at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Pea River Presbyterian Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made toward the cost of his funeral.
