Mrs. Corene McGregor, age 95, of East Bend, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at her home.
Mrs. McGregor was born on June 3, 1930, in Covington County, Alabama, to the late Thomas Rushing and Lacy Black Rushing. She was an entrepreneur who sold precious gems, minerals, and antique jewelry and even owned her own gem and mineral museum.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mac McGregor; two grandsons, Joey Thompson and Brian Thompson; and nine brothers and sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Belinda (Donnie) Culler of East Bend; a sister, Betty (Brooke) Bell of Florida; a grandson, Scott (Crystal Sparks) Thompson of East Bend; three great-grandchildren, Alexander Thompson, Hunter Thompson, and Caleb Thompson; a great-great-grandson, Maverick Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 15, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with Richie Hatcher officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
