Clinton Morris Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Clinton Lomax Morris, a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a soon to be great-great-grandfather, who left us peacefully on December 26, 2024.

Visitation will be at Keahey Funeral Chapel of Andalusia, Monday, December 30, 2024 from 5-8 PM. Funeral service at Brooks Assembly of God in Red Level (36953 Lloyd Mill Rd.) Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at 2 PM with visitation one hour prior. Bro. Bobby Pitts, Bro. Lewis Henderson, and Bro. Pete Lee will officiate. Serving as pallbearers are Brandon Sellers, Josh Sellers, Cameron Sellers, Adam Raines, Sr., Malachi Tolbert, and Richard Marler. He will be laid to rest in Antioch Church Cemetery (3362 County Rd. 24, Red Level).

Born on September 27, 1944, Clinton lived a life a hardworking man and a giving man. He would help anyone that he met that needed help regardless. He believed that you had to work hard in life in order to have anything. The main thing was he took care of his family. He was a proud man of his bunch and loved each and every one of them. 

Clinton was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Iona Morris; sisters Lily Sweatt, Edna Lee, and Lucille Smith; grandson Ryan Sellers; and his dog, Paco.

Left to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 55 years, Dorothy Morris; daughters Lynn Bush of Red Level, Mona Halford (the late Jake Halford) of McKenzie and Angelica Arnold-Watson of Opp; brothers Carl (Joyce) Morris, Clifton (Judy) Morris. He had 11 grandchildren, Brittany Tolbert, Holly (Adam) Raines, Fred Shipp, Hollie Shipp, Travis Shipp, Brandon (Tatum Taylor) Sellers, Josh (Jennifer) Sellers, Cameron (Tabitha) Sellers, Kacey (Raymond) Smith and Kristy (Josh) Bates; 26 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren on the way.

Clinton loved to hunt, fish, and take care of all of his animals, including his cows, his bull Bill, his chickens, and his beloved dog, Mollie. He retired from South Alabama Gas after 47 years.
