Christopher "Turtle" Johnson, of Andalusia (Dixie community), went to Heaven Friday morning, October 16, 2020, after a stoic health battle with having a brain tumor. He was 4 years old.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m., Tuesday evening at Keahey Funeral Home. Brother Woody Jackson will officiate. A special eulogy will be given by Kymberly Keahey. Burial will follow at the Hughes' Family Private Cemetery in the Dixie Community. Serving as pallbearers will be Covington County Sheriff Blake Turman, Covington County Sheriff Deputy Nic Ireland, uncles, Kevin Hildreth and Taylor Jackson.
Left to cherish his precious memories, parents, John and Patricia Johnson; brother, Hunter Johnson and sister, Maliyah Johnson, all of the Dixie Community; grandparents, Sandy Willis and Chris Jackson (Charla); great grandparents, Jackie and Carolyn Hughes; aunts, Angel Hildreth, Brittany, and Madilyn Willis; uncles, Taylor Jackson and Kevin Hildreth and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandmother, Tammy Michelle White, and great grandmother, Frances Hildreth.
Little Christopher "Turtle" was diagnosed with the brain tumor in April of this year; he attended the Pre-K Class at the Andalusia Board of Education; he greatly loved his teachers, Candi Wiggins and Kim Turman. The family wants to thank all the many people locally and people from far away who did many acts of kindness for the family.
They want to especially thank Covington County Sheriff Deputy, Nic Ireland for his fundraising and tireless acts of love toward Little Christopher and the family.
