Christine Barton Obituary

Christine Foshee Barton passed away peacefully at her home in Red Level, Alabama on June 10, 2022, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Chris was born on September 1, 1934 in McKenzie, Alabama. She married Albert Barton on December 18,1951 and they were married for 70 years.
Christine was one of a kind. She never met a stranger and our home was always open to family, friends, and anyone that was in need. She touched the lives of many people in all walks of life. Her love of cooking was enjoyed by many. Christine also enjoyed sewing, playing the piano, and singing in the church choir. She was the church secretary and Outreach Director at the First Baptist Church in Eufaula, Alabama for 25 years.
She is survived by her husband, Albert Kennon Barton, of Red Level, Alabama, children, Albert Kennon Barton Jr. (Janet), of Bend Oregon, Deborah Barton Bartholomew of Cypress, Texas, and Tina Barton Eppes of Red Level, Alabama. Other survivors include her grandchildren: Trey Barton (Nikki), Kelly Barton, Alyssa Gilmore (Josh), Colt Eppes (Madison), and Caroline Bartholomew. Great grandchildren: Colby Eppes, Clayton Gilmore, Dalton Eppes, and Cooper Gilmore. She is also survived by her sister, Ernestine Sturgis (Byron), and brother Winston Foshee.
Rest on high and sing with the angels. We love you to the moon and back.
Her family wishes to express their appreciation to Enhabit Hospice, Southern Comfort in Home Care, and Charlotte Smith for the excellent care and love.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Buck Creek Baptist Church at 11:00 am. Visitation will be at 10:30 am at the church.
