Mr. Carlton E. Zander, age 90, originally of Horicon,WI, resident of Andalusia, Al passed away on August 23, 2025 at home in the Carolina community.
He is survived by his son James Zander of Andalusia and his daughter Deborah Morgan (Kevin) of Andalusia. Four grandchildren, Mandy Mayer, Andrew Zander, Chance Sullivan and Casey Sullivan. Three great grandchildren, Samantha, Colton and Evangaline. Numerous nieces and nephews from all around the country.
He was preceded in death by Patricia Zander; his parents, Alyce and Otto Zander; his sisters, Virginia Zander, Mardell Gunn, and Beverly Lopez; and his brother, William Zander.
Mr. Carlton Zander served our great country in many positions over 43 years. He began his career in 1952 when he enlisted in the US Airforce and held numerous positions until his retirement from the MS Army National Guard as a MSG with the 1108th AVCRAD in Gulfport MS in 1995. Twenty six of those years were enlisted in the military.
Mr. Carlton Zander has been a member of First Lutheran Church in Florala since 2018. Prior to that he had been a member of New Hope Lutheran Church of Andalusia.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 27,2025, at Keahey Funeral Home in Andalusia followed by burial at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery in Andalusia. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service.
