Bruce Joseph Hoch, age 66, of Covington County, passed away on August 8, 2025, at the Florala Nursing Facility. Private memorial services will be held.

He is survived by his son, Benjamin Hoch (Kathleen Herring) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; daughters, Lisa Talley (Dustin) of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Beverly Lambert ( Ralph Wade) of Andalusia; brothers, Kenneth Hoch (Patricia) of New Hartford, New York, and Jess Hoch (Daniela) of Roanoke, Virginia; sisters, Susan Lehner (Gary) of Clinton, New York, and Lauren Vigilante (Thomas) of Kenbridge, Virginia; 9 Grandchildren and 2 great Grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his father Bernard Nelson Hoch and his mother Vita Angeline DeSantis Hoch. 

A native of New York, Bruce proudly served in the United States Air Force before beginning a long career with the U.S. Government. In his 50s, he returned to college and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. Bruce was also a published poet, a testament to his creativity and love of words.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
