Bradley Michael Nolen, known to his friends as “just Brad”, was born March 10, 1984, and died June 6, 2024, at HCA Hospital in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. His wife of 3 years, Britany, was at his bedside. Brad was a jack of all trades, having been given the gift of being good at nearly everything he set out to do, but his most recent job was at The Sound Shop in Dothan as an audio installer.
Brad loved Alabama football and fishing. He was the type of guy who didn’t mind sharing at least a few of his favorite fishing holes. He could usually be found working on vehicles, and most everyone in Dothan would recognize his 03 GMC Sierra with the Earthquake sticker across the windshield. If you didn’t recognize it by sight, you would most definitely know it by sound.
Brad had something about him that could put others at ease. He was the person you could call to help you move or get you out of a ditch, and you knew if you called, he was going to be there. His laughter was contagious, and he knew that sometimes the best medicine for what ailed you was to ride down some old dirt roads. Brad was the kind of guy you felt lucky to know. He was always trying to help others find happiness, even when he was struggling to find the light outside his own window.
Brad was in a league all his own and he will be greatly missed.
We would like to let everyone know that we have decided that there will be no formal memorial service for Brad, and we will have a private celebration of life instead.
Brad would hate getting dressed up and gathered in a room, he’d much rather be out fishing. When you have the time, wander down to your favorite fishing hole and cast a line.
If you see a redbird watching and the fish are biting, you’ll know Brad’s around.
